There are too many auto and tech websites in India that copy-paste press releases, slap a few specs into a table, and call it a review. AutoGuidez was built because we got tired of reading them.
We are an independent Indian automotive and technology publication. No manufacturer funding. No paid reviews. No agenda beyond telling you what actually matters before you spend your money.
The Person Behind It
Krishna Vijay is the founder and lead writer at AutoGuidez.
He is a Chennai-based automotive journalist and content strategist who has written for some of India’s most respected publications — including Autocar India and NDTV Auto. Across those years, he covered everything from hatchback launches to hypercar imports, from India’s first wave of affordable EVs to the behind-the-scenes engineering decisions that car companies don’t advertise.
He is also, unapologetically, a car obsessive. The kind who watches race replays at 1 AM and can tell you exactly why Max Verstappen’s throttle application out of slow corners is a technique most drivers simply cannot replicate. If you want to understand why an engine note matters, why suspension tuning is not just a spec-sheet number, or why the Indian highway experience is completely different from what a European road test tells you — Krishna is the person you want explaining it.
AutoGuidez is his attempt to take that depth of knowledge and make it useful for real Indian buyers: people choosing between a Tata Nexon EV and a Hyundai Creta Electric, people wondering if the ₹2 lakh strong hybrid premium actually pays back, people who just want a straight answer.
What We Cover
AutoGuidez focuses on four core areas:
Cars, SUVs, and Two-Wheelers — New launches, variant comparisons, long-term ownership realities, and segment analysis for the Indian market.
Electric Vehicles — Real-world range testing, charging infrastructure, model comparisons, and honest assessments of which EVs actually make sense for Indian conditions right now.
Hybrid Technology — India’s hybrid transition is happening fast. We explain the technology, the trade-offs, and the value math — without the marketing language.
Consumer Technology — Smartphones, in-car tech, and the connected car ecosystem, reviewed the way Indian users actually use them.
How We Work
Every article published on AutoGuidez is written to a single standard: would this information have genuinely helped us before we made a purchase?
That means we include real-world numbers, not just claimed figures. It means we name trade-offs honestly, even when a product is largely excellent. It means our comparison tables reflect actual choices an Indian buyer faces — not hypothetical global alternatives.
We rely on official manufacturer data, government regulatory filings, and primary research. When we have tested something ourselves, we say so and tell you what conditions we tested it in. When we are working from launch data, we say that too.
We do not publish sponsored reviews or paid placements. If that changes, it will be disclosed clearly at the top of the relevant page.
Why “AutoGuidez”
The name is straightforward. We guide. You decide.
We are not here to tell you which car to buy. We are here to make sure that when you walk into that showroom, or open that EMI calculator, you know exactly what you are choosing between and why.
